Villa Scalabrini has just completed the construction of 20 beautiful lodges, which offer seniors the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of living in a protected community environment, while maintaining independence and privacy. There are few things more important to the enjoyment of retirement years than good health, companionship, and comfort in the place we choose to live.
The Lodges of Villa Scalabrini are designed for the active seniors, ages 65 and older, who are able to live on their own, but desire the lifestyle associated with community living. Those who will choose to live in one of the lodges will enjoy a beautiful atmosphere, with courtyards, at a cost that is typically much less than the cost of living alone in a home.
Sharing a beautiful campus immediately adjacent to Villa Scalabrini's Retirement & Special Care Unit, each climate controlled spacious lodge includes: 2 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a large bath, a living room and a dining room, 1 covered car porch and 1 reserved parking spot, and an on site laundry facility. All utilities are included with rent: gas, water, electric, trash, and housekeeping service once a week.
As we live longer, the availability for the right accommodations has become more difficult. Many older adults choose to "downsize" and move into smaller accommodations, to avoid the tasks of yard work and home repairs.
For the residents of the lodges, lunch and supper from Monday through Friday are included with rent. Meals are served in a gracious dining room where residents can share a comfortable social environment with family and friends. The chefs provide the residents with healthy and appealing menu options. Each menu is prepared daily from scratch with fresh ingredients of the highest quality.
At Villa Scalabrini Senior Lodges the residents will gain peace of mind knowing they will always have a home, and that their needs will be cared for. When needed, they will enjoy priority access for admission to higher levels of care offered on the premises at the Retirement Center or at the Special Care Unit.
Daily Mass is celebrated on campus. The concierge desk at the Villa is always available for check cashing, fax, stamps and photocopies. We will announce the date for our open house, blessing and reception in the new hall of the facility soon.
