From Kathleen Krier Myers:
I would like to thank the personnel at the Villa for the wonderful care and love shown my mother especially Amelia, Tony and Ana for their dedication to the people under their care. If my mother needed to be put in a home or hospital I wanted the place to be run by the Catholic which my mother was so devoted to her religion. with the guidance from Frank and Mara Chimenti (Frank's mother Catherine was at the Villa) they help me ease my mind when my mother was to ill to ever come back to her home. God bless the personnel.

From the Family of Celmira Cote:
Dear Staff of Villa Scalabrini and Special Care Unit,
My dad Hernando and I would like to express our gratitude and appreciation for the wonderful care that you lovingly provided for my mother Celmira Cote. The Fathers, nuns, administration and nursing staff are greatly appreciated for the outstanding and compassionate care throughout her stay at Villa Scalabrini. Dad and I have witnessed the fantastic care towards my mom and we feel all of you have become an extended family. Especially towards my dad. There always was a smile for him or a hug, or just time to stop and ask how he is doing.
For the period of time mom was with you, I know she had a better quality of life by all the medical care, wonderful games and field trips she enjoyed so much. Especially, when you showed movies and served popcorn or ice cream.
Villa Scalabrini is a true asset to assisting living and to the service they provided for elderly care. They should be a terrific example to all other institutions on how medical care and assisted living services should be rendered.
From the bottom of our hearts we thank you. May God bless all of you for your kind-hearted services.

From the Family of Patricia Lousen :
Dear Special Care Unit Staff:
The eyes with which you choose to view the patients (MOM!) are eyes full of wisdom and kindness. Many only see what is the frail outer condition or the rambling of an outer shell not connected to the soul within. Yet the staff here sees the care of a human that has fully contributed to our world today and can promote the dignity of that life in its present condition. To support and embrace humans like you do is truly the key to the world and all of life.
With gratitude and blessings

From Rita Cregg:
Dear Special Care Unit,
I want to thank you all so much for the care you provided to my mom, Ethel Gerbus, during the year and a half she was with you.
Every one of the staff, from custodians and kitchen servers to the nursing staff, was wonderful.
I know she was difficult some times – she really wasn't herself – but you were all unfailingly generous with your care.
Some of you spent more time with her than others, and I'm afraid if I start naming names I'll leave someone special out. But you all work as a team, and my gratitude goes to all of you.
Please use this for something that benefits all of you. Or, as the very least, parties for all shifts!
Thank you again,
Rita Cregg
